MARVIN BRAUDE BIKE PATH PROJECT
2015 METRO CALL FOR PROJECTS
I am writing to express the County of Los Angeles' support for the City of Santa Monica's 2015 Metro Call for Projects application.
The project proposes the construction of a bikeway ramp to connect the Santa Monica pier to the regional Marvin Braude bike path along the Santa Monica state beach. The proposed bicycle ramp will address new bicycle ridership demand that will be created upon construction of the Colorado Esplande bicycle track, and the 4th Street and Colorado Boulevard Expo Station directly east of the pier. The proposed improvements will benefit millions of visitor each year to the Marvin Braude regional bike path that supports recreational and commuter ridership through the south bay cities.
