I am writing I support of the candidacy of Kathleen Benjamin to the Arts Commission. Although I have never yet met Ms. Benjamin, her reputation precedes her.
Ms. Benjamin is known within the community as an active and positive voice for change, justice and civil discourse. Her deep appreciation for the arts is acknowledged to be coupled with her understanding of the vital role that the history and personal narratives of our diverse communities play in building a better city.
