Please ass the following to my public comment:

Not to mention that right now your staff and planning commission is trying to get out of your zoning commitments by making a completely bullshit claim that building housing on Montana will result in "Commercial gentrification." You should really fire your planning staff if you actually want to be considered pro‐housing.

Santa Monica doesn't deserve a prohousing designation and the following is what I am going to e‐mail HCD in order to make sure your application is denied.

Your current vice‐mayor and current city manager had a meeting with Palmdale where you discussed sending your low income housing to Palmdale in exchange for paying them off.  You guys now claim that nothing further happened, but Palmdale seemed to come away from the meeting believing that Santa Monica was interested, and I believe that happened BECAUSE the people at the meeting was actually interested.

That shows exactly how much Santa Monica actually cares about housing considering the Vice Mayor and Current City Manager was there.

But not only that, you guys set up your inclusionary housing ordinance with teh specific goal of making sure the density bonus law is much harder to implement in Santa Monica.  I have a transcript and the video of your staff telling the then city council and specifically now Vice Mayor Phil Brock about how your inclusionary Housing ordinance was designed to make sure the density bonus would be blunted in Santa Monica.

I am currently using that transcript and video in order to try to change the state law so that you what you guys did would have no effect.

You guys don't deserve a pro‐housing designation and I will do everything I can to make sure you guys don't get it because of the repeated intentional NIMBYism by your current staff including your city manager.  If you actually wanted this designation, you should immediately fix your inclusionary housing ordinance so the density bonus is not intentionally blunted.
