Dear friends,
This email will serve as my letter of resignation from the Santa Monica Library Board. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve the City of Santa Monica’s library at this time in history, when libraries and their historic role in making knowledge available to those with the least access are under attack.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve the City in this way. I hope the City of Santa Monica will continue to stand for open libraries, diverse programming, safe spaces, and broad access to knowledge. My heart will be with you as I settle into my new community in northern California.
