Just a reminder that the Rec and Parks Commission unanimously recommended you approve going ahead with the Summer Olympic Beach Volleyball proposal years ago when the item came before us.
Let's welcome the world to our city.
We should also be exploring ways to lure professional beach volleyball events to our city just like they have in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.
I've discussed this with our Chair and stand ready and willing to help you in this regard.
