Subject: In support of a Poet Laureate for Santa Monica To the Members of the Santa Monica City Council,
As the current leadership of the Santa Monica Arts Commission, we would like to lend our support to the creation of a position of Poet Laureate with the Santa Monica Library.
We believe this step will even further enhance, expand and improve the already rich, diverse and vital cultural community that is enjoyed and so rightly acknowledged within the city.
We hope that the Council will endorse this important idea and bring it to fruition soon.
