Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on August 22, 2023, the City Council introduced for first reading an Ordinance adding Santa Monica Municipal Code Chapter 3.29 to prohibit the open carry of knives, daggers, and swords in public areas. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
