RE: Transient Occupancy Tax Advisory Committee Member
I am writing to formally resign from my position on the Transient Occupancy Tax Advisory Committee, effective February 20th, 2024. It has been a privilege to serve the City of Santa Monica in this capacity, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the important work initiated in 2023.
The progress and changes that are taking place are noticeable and I thank you for your leadership. I remain highly optimistic that the city will continue to thrive and achieve great success as you continue to navigate a post pandemic world. I wish the Committee and the City of Santa Monica the very best in continuing the efforts that are ongoing, and in further advancing the desirability of this fantastic destination.
Furthermore, I would request consideration for the assignment of Julien Labays of Fairmont Miramar to my vacating seat as a replacement Committee member so that we may continue to positively support a seamless transition.
