Mayor Brock, Mayor Pro Tempore Negrete, and City Council:
I am writing to express my support for the expanded funding of our public libraries from the Discretionary Fund.
Thank you to Councilmembers Zwick, Torosis, and Davis for bringing this item forward.
I have been a patron of the Main Library for over a decade. However, as the father of a 19-month-old child, I have grown to appreciate our libraries even more than I already had. The library serves as a community center for so many parts of our community, and the specific programming listed in this item would be well worth our investment.
