Hi Bruce, Ivette,
Thank you for your email. I was unable to attend last meeting as I had a conflict with an event for my daughter's school. I was not under the impression that this would be an issue; don't we have 3 meetings that can be missed. I have not missed any meetings until this one over the course of my time on the Commission so I am not sure my absence warranted this email? That said, I have given some thought to my time with this Commission and feel that my time is better served elsewhere. My daughter and I are part of the National Charity League and I have decided to continue my philanthropic work there. I feel I make a greater impact through that organization and have a direct impact on at risk individuals in a more meaningful way.

Hi Alexis - Hope this finds you well. You were missed at the HSC meeting last week. I'm just checking to see if you still plan to continue with the Commission as it's crucial we have good attendance moving forward. We only had 5 people at the last meeting (one resignation, one sick out, one travel, and you were missing), just enough for a quorum but one commissioner had to leave early so we didn't get to all the agenda items and that's very unfortunate since we only meet quarterly.
We hope you will continue to serve with the commission but if things have gotten too busy for you, please let me know as the replacement process takes a long time and we would want to get it started right away.
