RE: 5/28 agenda item 5-C -- contract for lighting on Lincoln Blvd. -- SUPPORT The FOSP Board supports Council approval of this contract for street and pedestrian lighting.
One of the things residents have always been concerned about is pedestrian safety on Lincoln Blvd., and improved lighting will help improve that.
We also look forward to the city identifying funding to complete the LiNC plan. https://www.santamonica.gov/lincoln-boulevard-neighborhood-corridor-plan Thank you for your consideration.

Dear Mayor Brock and City Council Members,
As Chair of the LBTF that supported the development of the LINC, I support the approval of the contract for street and pedestrian lighting.
The LBTF had a Steering Committee of local leaders of OPA, FOSP, and PNA and other concerned, involved residents. In addition, we had approximately 80 volunteers, who distributed flyers for our surveys, became involved in three clean-ups along Lincoln, and supported our collaborative work with various City Departments and Commissions.
We look forward to, and support, additional funding to fully realize the LINC as approved by City Council on April 25, 2017. Additional crosswalks for public safety are critical to making Lincoln a neighborhood serving boulevard.
Thank your your favorable consideration,
Roger Swanson
