Vice Chair Marasco Motions:

To ensure the design, construction and administration of affordable housing on the three aforementioned sites, that is
1) economically diverse, with tenants whose incomes are zero to 80% AMI but mostly below 60%. AMI
2) supports primarily families of two or more people
3) fully accessible to disabled people
4) conducive to its tenants thriving
5) contributes to housing stability,
The Housing Commission recommends that the successful RFP shows demonstrated competency in and previous success with diverse and extremely low and low income households, disabled people, families of two or more people, and previous projects that meet or exceed all ADA requirements, and design that enhances the quality of life of its tenants, including things like sunlight and air circulation with architecture that complements the local aesthetic
and priority given to parties who are willing and are able to dedicate one of the sites or part of the one of the sites to a demonstration of affordable home ownership.

Further, the Housing Commission strongly recommends advertising this RFP widely to attract the most diverse pool of applicants possible, including unconventional fora.
