Subject: Resignation from the Human Services Commission Dear Chair Leddy, Mayor Negrete, Mayor Pro Tem Torosis, and City Councilmembers, I am writing to formally submit my resignation from the Santa Monica Human Services Commission, effective immediately on February 5, 2025. It has been a privilege to serve on this commission since August 2023, working alongside dedicated colleagues to support and advocate for vital human services in our community.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to discussions and initiatives that enhance the well-being of Santa Monica residents. The experience has deepened my understanding of the challenges facing our community and strengthened my commitment to public service.
As I transition into my new role as a Trustee for the Santa Monica College Board, I remain eager to collaborate with the commission and the City of Santa Monica in any way that aligns with our shared mission. I look forward to continuing to support the important work being done to uplift and empower those in need.
Thank you for your leadership and for the opportunity to serve. I appreciate the support and dedication of my fellow commissioners and city staff, and I look forward to future partnerships in my new capacity.
