Dear Mayor Negrete and Esteemed Councilmembers -
It is my great honor to support Jaleh Mirhashemi for appointment to the City's Recreation and Parks Commission.
I can think of few other individuals within our community who have devoted themselves in such a wholehearted way to the public-facing programming, safety, and expansion of our parks and recreation system. Chief among her accomplishments is her work to achieve Historic Belmar Park, including significant community outreach and organizing, advocacy to electeds and other decision makers, and to the California Coastal Commission.
Jaleh leads in every endeavor first and foremost with her heart. She is always thinking of how to help and lift up people, particularly vulnerable populations like seniors and children.
She is the most generous person I have ever encountered, with both her time and her resources. The foregoing statement says a lot, as I'm lucky to have met and known many generous people over the years.
She would serve our City in an exemplary manner as a Recreation and Parks Commissioner, with consistency and dedication, a service mind-set, and the highest level of conscientiousness.
