A special meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Mayor Negrete at 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at City Council Chambers, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA.

CONVENE On order of the Mayor, the City Council and Housing Authority Board convened to a special joint meeting at 8:30 p.m., with all members present.

On order of the Mayor, the City Council and Housing Authority Board recessed at 8:31 p.m., to consider Closed Sessions and returned at 10:50 p.m., with all members present, except Housing Authority Members Phillips and Muqtasid St. Claire, to report the following:
5.A. Conference with legal counsel - potential initiation of litigation regarding HUD Continuum of Care and Department of Transportation grants - Gov. Code § 54956.9(d)(4), King County, et al. v. Scott Turner, et al., USDC # 2:25-cv-00814-BJR (W.D. Wash.)
The City Attorney advised this matter was heard and that the Housing Authority and Council gave direction to participate in the referenced litigation.
ADJOURNMENT On order of the Mayor, the special meeting of the City Council adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
