Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on August 12, 2025, the City Council introduced for first reading an Ordinance amending the text of Santa Monica Municipal Code Article 9 Planning and Zoning to promote economic recovery and increase land use flexibility in the City’s Downtown Area. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
