RE: A Request that the City Council Consider Directing the City Manager to approve waving of fees for the OFF THE HOOK Seafood Festival event produced by Spin PR Group, the Santa Monica-based PR, Marketing and Events agency. City fees related to the OFF THE HOOK Santa Monica Seafood Festival include the application, administrative, neighborhood notification, business license, parking, and zero waste plan fees associated with the use of the Pier in an amount up to $16,000 in waived fees.
OFF THE HOOK celebrates the sea and showcases the city's best restaurants and chefs with dishes and their favorite underwater ingredients. Attendees enjoy incredible seafood tastings, beer gardens, wine tastings, live music, games, oyster shucking competition, and more underwaterinspired fun on the Pier! Off the Hook is 100% free of single-use plastics and a portion of sales will benefit Heal the Bay to help protect our coastline, restore our waterways, and keep our Santa Monica ocean clean.
OFF THE HOOK Santa Monica Seafood Festival set for Sunday, October. 19th on the Santa Monica Pier.
