As a proud resident of Santa Monica, I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for JSX’s proposed operations at Santa Monica Airport (SMO). JSX has committed to flying quiet, environmentally responsible and efficient aircraft during regular airport hours. Their proposal for a direct lease with the city represents a smart, communityfirst solution that benefits all of us.
JSX can help reduce traffic emissions by eliminating the need to drive to distant airports. More 2,200 Santa Monica residents, including myself, already drive further just to fly JSX from other airports. Not only will this improve the quality of life for residents, but this will also help support local businesses by attracting inbound tourists. With major global events like the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics on the horizon, this kind of accessible, environmentally responsible air travel will be more valuable than ever, and the revenue the city generates from JSX’s operations can be reinvested into vital community programs across Santa Monica.
As your constituent, I urge you to act in the best interest of our city and approve a direct lease for JSX to operate at SMO. Thank you for your leadership and commitment to our community.
Sincerely,

Dear Council Councilperson,
I am writing to express my strong support for bringing JSX public charter air service to Santa Monica Airport (SMO).
With global events such as the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics approaching, the next several years are an important opportunity to strengthen Santa Monica’s economy, visibility, and accessibility.
JSX’s proposal represents a meaningful investment in our community. Their operations will provide safe, efficient, and accessible travel for residents, while supporting local businesses and ensuring SMO continues to serve a practical role in its remaining years of operation. Importantly, JSX plans to utilize the modern ATR 42-600 turboprop aircraft, which reflects a responsible and sustainable approach to service.
More than 2,200 Santa Monica residents already choose JSX from other airports in the region. By welcoming JSX to SMO, we can offer those same travelers a convenient, reliable, and community-minded option right here at home.
I urge you to support JSX’s planned service at Santa Monica Airport and to recognize the economic and civic benefits this opportunity will bring to our city.
Thank you for your leadership and thoughtful consideration.

Mayor Pro Tempore Caroline Torosis
Members of Santa Monica City Council
Members of Santa Monica Airport Commission Mr. Oliver Chi, City Manager Mr. Stelios Makrides, Airport Director City of Santa Monica

Dear Mayor Negrete, Mayor Pro Tempore Torosis, City Council, Airport Commission, City Manager, and Airport Director:
Sincerely,

I've flown with JSX many times and always found them to be a responsible, cool and kind company at all levels. I also think that we in Santa Monica should have a voice in allowing the convenience of this type of transportation that we chose. Dear Council Councilperson,
Having JSX available in Santa Monica would be a community benefit. Adding congestion to the 405 to get to LAX or Burrbank isn’t helping the beach communities. Having reliable air travel without the congestion (smaller planes) would be a tremendous service to our local communities. Please consider and allow JSX to call Santa Monica home! Thank You!

Dear Mayor Negrete, Mayor Pro Tempore Torosis, City Council, Airport Commission, City Manager, and Airport Director:
Sincerely,

Dear Council Councilperson,
JSX is a game changer when it comes to travel. It’s a great alternative for shorter legs and can be just as affordable as other airlines during peak season. Traffic in LA will likely be so busy as we approach World Cup and Olympics that I believe this will help alleviate some of that traffic. I live very close to the SM Airport and would be thrilled to have the short commute.

Dear Council Councilperson,
There is no reason why JSX, which serves the public, shouldn't be able to operate at Santa Monica. Why is this airport only for the rich with private aircraft? JSX is a great operator and I use them often, it would be great to be able to use the airport at santa monica, like the ultra wealthy do. Thanks for your consideration.

Subject: Letter of Support for JSX at SMO
Dear Council Councilperson,
this would be a wonderful addition to our community
Honorable Mayor Lana Negrete
Mayor Pro Tempore Caroline Torosis
Members of Santa Monica City Council
Members of Santa Monica Airport Commission Mr. Oliver Chi, City Manager Mr. Stelios Makrides, Airport Director City of Santa Monica

Dear Mayor Negrete, Mayor Pro Tempore Torosis, City Council, Airport Commission, City Manager, and Airport Director:
Sincerely,
Jim Ford

Dear Mayor Negrete, Mayor Pro Tempore Torosis, City Council, Airport Commission, City Manager, and Airport Director:
Sincerely,
Jordan Wynn
