Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on October 28, 2025, the City Council introduced for first reading an interim zoning ordinance amending Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 9.31.200, Outdoor Dining and Seating on Sidewalks, to promote economic recovery by simplifying the City’s outdoor dining program. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
