If results do not match suspected contents, then unknown ID rate will apply along with additional disposal costs if applicable.
DocuSign Envelope ID: 486A9FC5-80F6-4DF3-9FCF-7A249F00F708 8 o Inoperable valve fee: No charge for Category A cylinders. For Categories B thru E, a tapping fee of $350 per cylinder will apply regardless of size of cylinder. For categories F & G, inoperable valve fee will be Case‐by‐Case.
Batteries not in original manufacturer’s packaging must have both ends taped to avoid arc. Additional fees may apply if Clean Earth personnel must tape the battery ends.

o CONTRACT TERM: Contractually, Clean Earth was not permitted to increase the City’srates since 2021. o DISPOSAL: Many of the disposal / incineration facilities where Clean Earth disposes of the waste materials have become full and notified Clean Earth that they cannot accept any additional materials. This caused Clean Earth to locate alternate disposal facilities, which have double-digit higher priced disposal rates and are farther away from customer site(s), which increased the costs to service account(s) in accordance with our contracts. o SUPPLIES: Supply chain disruptions that began with disruptions caused by COVID and in some cases have been exacerbated by the war in Europe have had significant impacts on Clean Earth's business. Clean Earth has been unable to procure reconditioned drumsthat it has been using for the waste materials. To continue to service account(s), Clean Earth has been forced to purchase new drums, many of which are metal and more expensive than poly drums, which resulted in an unexpected increase in container costs by 40% or more. A primary nationalsupplier of reconditioned drums has been unable to procure reconditioned drums. In light ofshortages and tariffsrelated to steel, steel prices are up approximately 254%,thereforemetal drums are much more expensive.
Vendors delivering drums have increased freight charges and doubled fuelsurcharges to Clean Earth. Prices for poly totes have also significantly increased. Resin prices for polypropylene containers have been increasing, driven by tight supply for both monomer feedstock and polypropylene. o LABOR: Significant labor market changes have resulted in shortages of qualified drivers to perform the hazardous waste disposal services that Clean Earth provides. Clean Earth has had to pay significantly higher labor ratesto third-parties who provide drivers.
In California, Clean Earth’s temp agency that provides driversraised rates approximately 25%. o TRANSPORTATION: Significant and steadily increasing fuel prices combined with the significantly increased driver labor rates for qualified drivers, have increased Clean Earth's transportation costs by 100% or more.
