Dear Council Members Torosis, Zwick, Negrete, Hall, Zernitskaya, Raskin, and Snell and City Manager Chi, I urge you please to make sure that the lease agreement with California Roadhouse includes a clearly stated requirement that would extend to laid-off Rusty’s restaurant workers the right of recall to fill positions for which they are qualified before these positions are offered to new hires.
This seems only fair and would be a recognition of the years-long contributions made by these workers to what was a decades-old institution that was frequented by locals and tourists alike.
