Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on July 14, 2026, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Santa Monica amending the text of the Zoning Ordinance to effectuate the goals of the Realignment Plan, including, but not limited to, amendments to maximize the potential of City-owned sites in the Downtown.
The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
