Mayor Crosswhite called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. 2)

5.A)
PROPOSITION 218: PROTEST HEARING FOR PROPOSED SOLID WASTE RATE INCREASE Mayor Crosswhite opened the Public Hearing.
Public Works Director Clete Saunier and Public Works Management Analyst Joseph Alvarado presented this item.
Kimberly Nilsson with Solid Waste Solutions Inc. answered questions by zoom.
Judy Rice spoke on behalf of Beverly Ann Lozano who spoke in protest of the proposed solid waste rate increase.
Raul Gutierrez was called to speak in protest of the proposed solid waste rate increase.
Marlaina Herman was called to speak in protest of the proposed solid waste rate increase.
James Herman was called to speak in protest of the proposed solid waste rate increase.
M. Rico was called to speak in protest of the proposed solid waste rate increase.
Motion: Approve as amended Resolution No. 7420 “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Paula, California, Increasing Solid Waste Maximum Rates” and amending the resolution to include the count of received written protests for 75 properties prior the protest hearing and an additional 6 written protests were received at the public hearing, totaling 81 written protests received before the close of the hearing.
