Dear Mayor Rogers, Vice Mayor Alvarez, and Councilmembers:
My name is Cal Weeks and I am the Policy Director with Generation Housing where we advocate for more, more diverse, and more affordable housing.
I wanted to take the opportunity and register our strong support for purchasing the 6 acres of property identified in Item 13.2. This action further commits the City of Santa Rosa towards a more comprehensive, holistic investment in Roseland. It also further lifts up the voices who seek equity in the planning decisions surrounding that region of our community. It has long been called an "underserved" area, and this decision can reverse that.
