BACKGROUND
2 • Bennett Valley Golf Course (BVGC) is a
150-acre, 18- hole golf course
• BVGC operator provides maintenance of
golf course maintenance equipment
• The City owns, liquidates and acquires
new golf course maintenance equipment
as needed

3 • In 2017 Council established a per round
golf course fee to fund capital and
equipment needs (RES-2017-090)
• Fee effective July 1, 2017
• Council amends golf operation
agreement to add collection of per-round
golf fee (RES-2017-141)
• Fees are collected monthly and held in
BVGC Capital Fund 1662
ANALYSIS
4 • Two greens mowers identified by
operator and city for urgent need of
replacement
• Council required to increase
appropriations in BVGC Operations fund
to purchase mowers.
• BVGC Ad Hoc Committee recommends
Council approval to utilize BVGC Capital
Fund on December 21, 2021, meeting
RECOMMENDATION
5 It is recommended by the Bennett Valley Golf
Course Ad Hoc Committee, and the
Transportation and Public Works Department
that the Council, by resolution increase
appropriations in the Bennett Valley Golf
Course Operations fund in the amount of
$100,000 for the purchase of two golf course
greens mowers, with the source of funds from
Bennett Valley Golf Course Capital Fund.
