CA UNDER THE SOURCEWELLCOOPERATIVE

1 CURRENT
• Purchasing has a purchase requisition from
the Transportation and Public Work (TPW)
Department for the purchase two Vac-Con
Combination Sewer and Storm Drain
Cleaners, and one Vac-Con Hydro Excavator
under Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement
number 101221-VAC. These vehicles will be
used by the Transportation and Public Work
and the Water Departments.
2 PROPOSED
• A Purchase Order with City Terms and
Conditions will be issued for the
equipment to Vac-Con, Inc., Green Cove
Springs, Florida under the Sourcewell
Cooperative Agreement Number 101221-
VAC.
• Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Inc,
Sacramento, CA will provide training,
warranty support, and service as the
Northern California dealer.
3 BENEFIT
• The Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement
offers up to a 10% discount off of list price.
• Time savings in administration soft costs
associated to specification writing and
bidding process.
• Standard parts inventory for existing fleet.
4 RECOMMENDATION
• It is recommended by the Transportation and Public Works and Finance Department that the Council, by resolution, approve issuance of a purchase order for the purchase of 1) One – Vac- Con Model VPD4211HE/1300 Combination Sewer and Storm
Drain Cleaner with lateral kit mounted on a new Freightliner Model 114SD 6x4 truck chassis in the amount of $573,140.82, and 2) One – Vac-Con Model VPD4211HE/1300 Combination
Sewer and Storm Drain Cleaner with excavation kit mounted on a new Freightliner Model 114SD 6x4 truck chassis in the amount of $573,911.03, and 3) Vac-Con Model VXPD4212LHE/1100 Hydro Excavator with mounted boom on a new Freightliner Model 114SD 6x4 truck chassis in the amount of $530,821.74, under the Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement number 101221-VAC with Vac-Con Inc., Green Cove Springs, Florida for a total amount not to exceed $1,677,873.59.
