1 BACKGROUND
• Approximately 46 City Owned bridges have
maintenance and repair items
• Need for:
• Bridge Engineer evaluations
• prioritization
• project planning
• cost estimates
2 ANAL YSIS
• A Request for Proposals was released on
October 28, 2021
• No proposals were received
• Project management team reached out to
Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc.
• Provided a responsive proposal on
February 21, 2022
3 RECOMMENDATION
• It is recommended by the Transportation and
Public Works Department that the Council, by
resolution, approve a Professional Service
Agreement with Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. of
Oakland, California for professional services
associated with maintenance planning and design
services for City bridges, in the amount of
$279,238.00.
