RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT NUMBER f002049 WITH COOPERATIVE PERSONNEL SERVICES dba CPS HR CONSULTING AND APPROPRIATING $80,000 FROM THE UNASSIGNED GENERAL FUND BALANCE WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department has been severely impacted in the last year with multiple vacancies and the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department has been managing the City’s COVID-19 testing and policy development in addition to its core responsibilities; and WHEREAS, on January 11, 2022, City Council approved the Professional Services Agreement with Cooperative Personnel Services dba CPS HR Consulting, in an amount not to exceed $105,360; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director, researched appropriate alternatives for consulting services needed to assist the Human Resources Department; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director is recommending that the contract with Cooperative Personnel Services dba CPS HR Consulting be amended to increase compensation by $80,000 to the original contract and extending the time of performance, making the contract amount not to exceed $185,360 and extending the time of performance to August 31, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves a First Amendment to Professional Services Agreement Number F002049 with Cooperative Personnel Services dba CPS HR Consulting in the amount of $80,000 for a total contract amount not to exceed $185,360, in substantially the form attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein , subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. / / /

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to amend the fiscal year 2021-22 adopted budget to increase appropriations in 040101-5320 by $80,000 from unassigned fund balance within the General Fund.
