Re: Revisions to Parking Fee Schedule
--
On behalf of the Downtown Action Organization and the business and property owners within the Downtown District, I am writing to express support for the revisions to the parking fee schedule the Parking District is proposing at the June 21 meeting of City Council.

The communication, partnership and willingness of Alan Alton and Chad Hedge on behalf of the Parking District, to come up with solutions that will continue to drive our community to the garages as we transition out of the COVID-era garage parking incentives, is greatly appreciated.

Enabling first hour free parking across all City garages and free weekends during the holidays, not only simplifies the message to the community, it also benefits all types of business in the Downtown area.

We are grateful for the ongoing relationship with the Parking District and their consideration for making parking easy and consistent. We look forward to being part of ongoing discussions about how to continue incentivizing garage use as we work to revitalize our Downtown.

Thank you,

Cadance Hinkle Allinson
Executive Director, Downtown Action Organization
