RESOLUTION NO. RES-2022-144
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA TO APPROVE AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO SET UP THE FIRE CAPITAL EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF FIRE FLEET VEHICLES WHEREAS, the Fire Department has a large fleet of capital vehicles that require a replacement schedule; and WHEREAS, moving forward the Fire Department needs to establish a replacement program to reduce the large one-time requests for purchasing new equipment; and WHEREAS, by establishing a Fire Capital Equipment Replacement Program, a portion of the total cost for General Fund funded vehicles will be appropriated in the replacement fund each year, placing vehicles on the replacement schedule with funds and appropriated with the annual budget going forward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to appropriate General Fund reserves in the Fire Operations Home org, 060200-5324, in the amount of $2.7M as the source of the funds to begin the Fire Capital Equipment Replacement Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all vehicles listed in Exhibit A be added to the Fire Capital Equipment Replacement Program replacement schedule.
