SP22-020 Pending 8/6/2022 10:00am-12:00pm Cattle Drive Courthouse Square, Streets Yes Yes 1,000 Following the same route and logistical coordination as the cattle drive approved in 2019, this year's event will set up the evening of Friday 8/5 on west side street at Courthouse Square. Closure of 4th, east side street and E Street starts at 7:45am on Saturday 8/6 when the cattle will be corralled at Courthouse Square on west side street. The parade will begin on west side street, to 4th Street, to E Street to arrive at Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Most roads reopen by 10:30am, except 4th St (open at 12pm). We will work with City staff and the Downtown District, along with our traffic management contractor to place/remove all required barricades and meet city requirements. The event will be free to the public.

8/31/2022 5:00 - 8:30pm Wednesday Night Market Courthouse Square, Streets Yes Yes 7,500 The 2022 Wednesday Night Market will open May 18th and continue weekly through August 31st, from 5-8:30 pm. Over 100 vendors, local businesses and non-profit groups gather each Wednesday night. The Vendors include, street foods, treats, farmers, processed foods and artists/vintage treasures. The Main Stage has a live concert from 6-8 with Beer and Wine Service on the Square from 5-8. American Veteran Security Company will arrive at 5:00 pm to 9:45 pm to control the vendor access gates at B St, Mendo and D St, with a 4th officer/Supervisor strolling the entire event. (NOTE, This is a change from past years. We feel that Security instead of students is needed at these outpost barriers for proper control of Market barriers, dog enforcement and alcohol boundaries. We will continue to station local students at the 2 side streets at 3rd St. barriers from 3:00 pm to approx 9:30 when roads open.)
