Subject: Advocacy Letters, State Legislation & Federal Legislaton Attached are letters of support and one letter of opposition for the following state and federal bills:
AB 2011 (Wicks) -- Affordable Housing and High Road Jobs Act of 2022. Letter of opposition.
SB 379 (Wiener) -- Residential solar energy systems: permitting. Letter of support.
SB 833 (Dodd) -- Community Energy Resilience Act of 2022. Letter of support.
S. 3788 (Padilla) -- To address the homelessness and housing crises, to move toward the goal of providing for a home for all Americans, and for other purposes. Letter of support.
These issues met the priorities outlined in the City’s 2022 state and federal legislative platforms. Due to the urgency of the proposed items being considered by the Legislature and Congress, these letters were prepared immediately for the Mayor’s signature and were timely sent.
