Salary Plan and Schedule

1 BACKGROUND
California Code Regulation Title 2, section 570.5
(CalPERS)
Council must approve and adopt a “pay schedule”
 Each time any pay rate is amended
 Identifies all titles, pay rates and effective dates
 Must be a stand-alone document
Council most recently approved a Salary Plan and
Schedule effective 4/10/22 on 3/15/2022.
2 PROPOSAL
• An updated Salary Plan and Schedule is needed to
make corrections to the current schedule and to
include:
• The new classification of Single Role Paramedic
previously approved by Council
• A Crime Analyst Trainee salary range
• Salary modifications requested in other items on
the agenda for Council’s approval today.
3 RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended by the Human Resources
Department that Council, by resolution,
approve and adopt the City’s Salary Plan and
Schedule.
