RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING THE LOCAL ROAD SAFETY PLAN, THE 2021 STONY POINT ROAD CORRIDOR STUDY, AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC WORKS TO SUBMIT A HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PLAN GRANT APPLICATION FOR STONY POINT ROAD ENHANCEMENTS WHEREAS, a Professional Services Agreement was executed on November 17, 2020, with GHD, Inc. for the development of the Local Road Safety Plan; and WHEREAS, and approved Local Road Safety Plan is required for eligibility for Highway Safety Improvement Program grant funds; and WHEREAS, the Local Road Safety Plan has been developed in conjunction with stakeholder working groups, consultants, Traffic Engineering, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, Santa Rosa Fire, Santa Rosa Police, CityBus, schools, and public input through a series of virtual meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Local Road Safety Plan, attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the 2021 Stony Point Road Corridor Study, attached to this resolution as Exhibit B and made a part of herein. / / /

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Director of Transportation and Public Works to submit a Highway Safety Improvement Program grant application for Stony Point Road enhancements and delegates authority to the Director of Transportation and Public Works to negotiate and execute any agreements or other documents related to the filing of such application.
