Attached are letters for the following state bills:
AB 1985 ( R. Rivas), Organic waste: recovered organic waste product procurement targets. Letter of support. Provided for information.
AB 2953 (Salas), Department of Transportation and local agencies: streets and highways: recycled materials. Letter of opposition. Provided for information.
These issues met the priorities outlined in the City’s 2022 state legislative platform. We previously sent a letter of support for AB 1985. However, with amendments to the bill, we needed to send an updated letter. Due to the urgency of the proposed items being considered by the Legislature, these letters were prepared immediately for the Mayor’s signature and were timely sent.
