Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Fire Station Improve-4
ment Act of 2022’’. 5
SEC. 2. USE OF FIREFIGHTER ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS. 6
Section 33(c)(3)(J) of the Federal Fire Prevention 7
and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2229(c)(3)(J)) is 8
amended to read as follows: 9

‘‘(J) To repair, modify, or improve fire sta-1
tions, fire training facilities, and other similar 2
facilities— 3
‘‘(i) to improve the functionality of 4
those facilities; or 5
‘‘(ii) to protect the health and safety 6
of firefighting personnel.’’. 7
