Subject: Advocacy Letters, State Legislation and Federal Legislation Attached are letters for the following state bill and two federal bills:
Veto Request AB 2234 (R. Rivas and Grayson) -- Planning and zoning: housing: postentitlement phase permits. Provided for information.
Support for S. 4517 (Ossoff and Hawley) and S.4690 (Van Hollen) -- Fire Station Improvement Act and Fire Station Construction Grants Act. Provided for information.
We sent the support letter on the two federal bills to Senators Dianne Feinstein and Alex Padilla. The veto request letter was sent to Governor Gavin Newsom for his consideration.
These issues met the priorities outlined in the City’s 2022 state and federal legislative platforms. Due to the urgency of the proposed items being considered by the Legislature, these letters were prepared immediately for the Mayor’s signature and were timely sent.
