RESOLUTION NO. RES-2022-206
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR ELECTION SERVICES WITH THE COUNTY OF SONOMA FOR THE SONOMA COUNTY CLERK-RECORDER-ASSESSOR “COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICIAL” TO CONDUCT, MANAGE AND SUPERVISE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City’s municipal elections be consolidated with statewide elections to be held on the same dates and that within the City the precincts, polling places, and election officers of the two elections be the same; and WHEREAS, the City desires to contract with the County of Sonoma for the Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor to render certain election services on behalf the City of Santa Rosa; and WHEREAS, the current Agreement for Election Services between the City of Santa Rosa and the County of Sonoma expires on December 31, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Agreement for Election Services with the County of Sonoma, in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
