WHEREAS, the Rincon Valley Little League All Star teams had a historic year; and WHEREAS, five of the six all-star teams won their District 35 Championships, with three of the teams securing a Section 1 title, and thus competed in the Nor-Cal State Championship; and WHEREAS, the Seniors team won District 35 and went on to clinch Section 1, moving on to the Nor-Cal State Championship; and WHEREAS, the Juniors team also won District 35 and Section 1, also competing in the Nor-Cal State Championship; and WHEREAS, for the first time in 34 years, the Rincon Valley Little League 12-and-under All Stars won District 35; also securing the Section 1 title win and placed in the Nor-Cal State Tournament; and WHEREAS, the younger divisions, 11-and-under and the 10-and-under all-star teams also played fantastic baseball both winning District 35 Championships; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa recognizes the Rincon Valley Little League’s All Star teams’ talents and accomplishments, along with the coaches, managers, parents, and community that supported their valiant efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, I, Chris Rogers, Mayor of the City of Santa Rosa, on behalf of the entire City Council, do hereby acknowledge and congratulate the Rincon Valley Little League All Star teams’ accomplishments on clinching the DISTRICT 35 AND SECTION 1 TITLE CHAMPIONS
