Santa Rosa City Council members, We would like to offer our support for the election of Victoria Fleming as Mayor. The position of mayor requires both experience and the ability to lead. As the member with the greatest longevity after the current mayor, Victoria has gained the experience required to be an outstanding mayor. She has demonstrated the ability to work effectively with both staff and her fellow council members. She has demonstrated the ability to lead and coalesce diverse opinions into balanced compromises. We wholeheartedly support Victoria Fleming as Mayor. Rick and Sharon Abbott

Hello City Council members,
As you embark on the selection process for Santa Rosa’s next mayor, we would like to offer our voice of support for Victoria Fleming. She is one of the most experienced members of the City Council and has demonstrated leadership on a wide range of issues that matter to Santa Rosa residents, ranging from homelessness and housing affordability to fire resiliency and improving city infrastructure. The city will soon be facing complex decisions on the Chanate property that will require balancing multiple, sometimes competing priorities such as housing needs, environmental impact, traffic, and fire safety. Since this property falls within District 4, Victoria is uniquely positioned to develop an optimized plan to benefit the greatest number of citizens.

Victoria was just re-elected by her District 4 constituents for a reason - she is a genuine representative who cares about making more things better for more people. We urge you to elect her as Santa Rosa’s next mayor.

Sincerely,
Erik & Susan Diez

Date: Monday, December 12, 2022 10:16:18 AM
Dear newly elected Santa Rosa City Council members,

When you meet on Tuesday, Dec. 13 to take office, I understand that one of your first official acts will be to elect a new mayor from your ranks.

I urge you to elect Victoria Fleming as Mayor.

Victoria has now served on the City Council for four years, and has spent that time working with city staff members and building coalitions with her fellow council members, in order to make the best decisions possible for Santa Rosa. Additionally, her reelection to represent District 4 demonstrates that she is aligned with the majority of Santa Rosan’s on major issues affecting our community.

Through her record and actions, Victoria has demonstrated that she deeply cares about our city. She stands with us, and would be an excellent choice for Mayor. -----
Best regards,
Jose Arturo Ibarra

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Recommendations for Mayor and Vice-Mayor Date: Monday, December 12, 2022 12:42:48 PM
I recommend that Victoria Fleming be named mayor and Dianna MacDonald named vice-mayor for the next two years.

After winning re-election, Victoria Fleming has the most tenure on the city council to lead our city.

Dianna MacDonald brings a great perspective to our city representing the Eastern side of Santa Rosa.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Our next mayor: Victoria Fleming
Date: Monday, December 12, 2022 3:13:55 PM
Hello,
I would like to advocate for Victoria Fleming to be our next Santa Rosa mayor.

There have been a lot of changes at the city council and she has the second longest longevity of all counsel members (behind the outgoing mayor). She's been there four years - we need a mayor with that city council experience. She also won her reelection so she obviously has the support of her district.

I see her as a committed and pragmatic person and believe that she would represent the people of all of Santa Rosa very well.

Thank you,
Marie Piazza
