RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ADOPTING THE SANTA ROSA CITYBUS SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN FINANCIAL SCENARIOS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023 TO FISCAL YEAR 2028 WHEREAS, Federal statutes require that the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), in partnership with the state and with local agencies, develop and periodically update a long-range Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), and a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which implements the RTP by programming federal funds to transportation projects contained in the RTP; and WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa Transit Division is a Federal grantee within the MTC region; and WHEREAS, MTC requires Federal grantees within the MTC region to prepare, adopt, and submit a Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) every four years in order to remain eligible to receive federal funding; and WHEREAS, in the current cycle MTC restructured and narrowed the required SRTP scope of work to be more supportive of the recovery of public transit agencies from the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, MTC established three funding scenarios for public transit operators within the region to use as the bases for this SRTP; and WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa Transit Division used those prescribed scenarios to establish service projections under each funding scenario; and WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa Transit Division by completing the data request for the three scenarios and their accompanying narrative fulfill MTC’s requirements for this Short Range Transit Plan. / / /

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa adopts the Santa Rosa CityBus Short Range Transit Plan Financial Scenarios for Fiscal Year 2023 to Fiscal Year 2028, attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein.
