RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING A SPLIT BID AWARD FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE 22-50 AND ISSUANCE OF FEDERAL PURCHASE ORDERS FOR FIBER CABLE AND SUPPLIES TO B&H INTERNATIONAL AND ANIXTER INC. IN A COMBINED TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $108,110.36 WHEREAS, On July 7, 2020, Request for Authorization for Submittal of Housing Incentive Pool Program for Downtown Housing/Operations Enhancements – Fiber Optics Upgrade was approved by City Council; and WHEREAS, Finance and Transportation and Public Works Departments issued a federally compliant Request for Quotation (RFQ) 22-50 for the purchase of fiber cable and supplies; and WHEREAS, B&H International, Bakersfield, California is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to Sections 1 and 3 of RFQ 22-50; and WHEREAS, Anixter, Inc., Glenview, Illinois, is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to Section 2 of RFQ 22-50; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to issue a split bid to take full advantage of the best pricing for each section of RFQ 22-50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves a split bid award for RFQ 22-50.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves issuance of federal purchase order to B&H International in a total amount not to exceed $92,169.06 for Sections 1 and 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves issuance of federal purchase order to Anixter Inc. in the total amount not to exceed $15,941.30,.
