RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GMV SYNCROMATICS CORP. TO PROVIDE A COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH AND AUTOMATED VEHICLE LOCATION SYSTEM WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa, wishes to replace its existing Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system for transit operations; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa in concert with the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and Petaluma Transit invited CAD/AVL firms to participate in a request for information process; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa in concert with the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and Petaluma Transit invited five CAD/AVL providers from a short list of firms determined by the request for information process to participate in a request for proposals process; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa in concert with the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and Petaluma Transit received five complete bids for CAD/AVL services; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa in concert with the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and Petaluma Transit concluded the proposal from GMV Syncromatics Corp. provided the best value of the five complete bids; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa wishes to provide high quality transit service to its residents; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa wishes to have the means to track transit service performance. / / /

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves a Professional Services Agreement with GMV Syncromatics Corp., in substantially the same form as Exhibit A attached to this Resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, in an amount not to exceed $931,787.
