PROPOSED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT (PSA) WITH

KATZ & ASSOCIATES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE WATER REUSE EDUCATION AND

TOUR PROGRAM AT THE LAGUNA TREATMENT PLANT
Developing and implementing a tour program at the Laguna Treatment Plant remains critical to effectively educating our community members about the value of our services and the stewardship of our local water resources. Santa Rosa Water solicited proposals from qualified firms for professional services to advance existing tour program efforts. After a competitive solicitation process, the firm of Katz and Associates was selected. The proposed PSA, for an amount not to exceed $247,577, will include the creation of a robust training program for department staff and a master plan for educational displays and signage around the facilities.

recommended actions which have been implemented as projects under Master Professional Services Agreement Contract No. A010099 (MPSA) with West Yost Associates. Four of 17 projects remain in process. Funding for these projects has already been allocated through annual Water CIP budget processes each year as needed. However, the total amount to be expended under the MPSA will exceed the $3.5 million “not to exceed” spending cap on the MPSA. The proposed amendment to the MPSA will increase the spending cap to $5 million to allow staff to complete four projects currently being implemented under the MPSA.
