Mayor Rogers, Vice Mayor MacDonald, Councilmembers, and City staff. On behalf of the Sonoma County Library staff, the Library Commission, and the entire library family, I want to express my gratitude for the incredible partnership we have with the City of Santa Rosa. Your action today to accept a state grant (agenda item #12.7) to help construct a new library in southwest Santa Rosa is further evidence of the power of our partnership. Together, we provide excellent library services to Santa Rosa residents, and the new library we are building together will be the crown jewel of our county wide system. The vision of this Council, and the dedication of your staff, are commendable.
