To the members of the city Council. I was surprised to receive a note today that the city Council discussed a proposal concerning the Caltrans property from farmers Lane to Spring Lake. This is a proposal that has been around for a long time, but we neighbors, people who live right adjacent to the section of land, received no notification whatsoever that the proposal was going to be discussed yesterday. We would appreciate it if we would be notified, because what is being proposed by a small number of people in Santa Rosa will affect a large number of us who own property along this proposed site.
In order to fully understand what is being proposed for the property next to ours, we would like to see in writing what the future proposal will look like if passed. Would it be possible for you to forward that document to me and I will distribute it to those of us whose homes and property will be affected? Then I would like to gather a consensus on how these people feel about the proposal.
Having lived along this Caltrans strip for 40 years, we understand the terrain, the problems that exist on this stretch of land, and whatvthe consequences would be should changes be made.
