RESOLUTION NO. RES-2023-146
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT NUMBER F002259 WITH BEST BEST & KRIEGER LLP FOR REAL ESTATE LEGAL SERVICES WHEREAS, on November 4, 2020, City entered into Professional Services Agreement Number F002259 with Best Best & Krieger LLP in the amount of $100,000 for legal advice relating to real estate matters (Agreement); and WHEREAS, on June 29, 2021, by Resolution RES-2021-118, the Council approved the First Amendment to the Agreement increasing compensation by $100,000; and WHEREAS, on July 5, 2022, the City entered into a Second Amendment to the Agreement increasing compensation by an additional $100,000 for continued legal services; and WHEREAS, the services and terms of the Agreement have been reviewed, and the City Attorney’s Office and Real Estate Manager wish to extend the compensation amount under the Agreement to allow for continued services through June 2024; and WHEREAS, a Third Amendment to Professional Services Agreement Number F002259 in the amount of $100,000 is being presented to Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Third Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement Number F002259 with Best Best & Krieger LLP in the amount of $100,000, in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, for a total contract amount not to exceed $400,000, for continued legal advice relating to real estate matters.
