RESOLUTION NO. RES-2023-159
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROPRIATING $1,500,000 TO THE WATER ENTERPRISE FUND THAT WAS AUTHORIZED IN THE 2022 CALIFORNIA BUDGET ACT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SANTA ROSA WATER’S DIRECT INSTALL WATER USE EFFICIENCY PROJECT WHEREAS, the September 2022 State of California Assembly Bill 179 designated $1,500,000 in funding to the City of Santa Rosa, for a Direct Install Water Use Efficiency Project; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Water Resources has the responsibility for the administration of the funding, including establishing the necessary procedures for disbursement of the funding; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa Water seeks to implement a Direct Install Water Use Efficiency Project for the benefit of Santa Rosa Water customers consistent with the funding designation in Assembly Bill 179; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa entered into a funding agreement with the State of California Department of Water Resources to implement a Direct Install Water Use Efficiency Project; and WHEREAS, revenue collected requires the City Council to appropriate the funding for expenditure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to accept $1,500,000 from the State of California and appropriate it to the Water Enterprise Fund Project Key Number 55811 for the purposes of implementation of the Santa Rosa Water Direct Install Water Use Efficiency Project.
