GENERAL
The following equipment shall be a new West-Mark 3-axle Potable Water Tank Truck.
PRODUCT: Potable water.
PRODUCT WEIGHT: 8.35 lbs./gallon.
VESSEL CODE: Non-Spec.
OPERATING PRESSURE: Atmosphere.
TANK OPERATING TEMPERATURE: One hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit (125° F) maximum.

TANK / MANHOLES / VENTING
BARREL:
3500 gallons oval barrel (15' long; approx.) no slope, made of 12 gauge T-304L 2B stainless steel.
HEADS: Two (2) each stainless steel, T-304L, 10 gauge, air-dished and flanged.
BAFFLE(S): Two (2) each stainless steel, T-304L, 10 gauge, 2B finish, air-dished and flanged with 20" staggered crawl hole(s). Top air vent holes and bottom drain holes shall be designed to allow free flow of product and provide complete drainage of the tank.
WINGS, BOLSTERS, & Z-RAIL: Shall be made of stainless steel with 1/4" rails MOUNTING:
Heavy Duty spring loaded mounting assemblies installed along tank frame as required with rubber mounting sill installed full length of tank between chassis and tank frame; rubber sill shall be vulcanized to a stainless steel backing plate. No hard fixing of tank frame to chassis shall be used
WELD FINISH:
INTERIOR: Weld finish to be W-2 inside. All Longitudinal seams to be W-3.
EXTERIOR: Weld finish to be W-2 outside.
MANHOLE:
One (1) each, 20", T-304 stainless steel with a single lug, EPDM gasket and a hinge stop for keeping the lid off the shell when open. Hinged at front
VENT:
Two (2) Each 3” vent with stainless steel anti-splash deflector, synthetic filter media, and #10 stainless steel mesh screen located in shell at top of tank.

2 SIGHT TUBE:
One (1) Each 1/2" clear vinyl sight tube with 1/2" stainless steel ball valve shut-offs and bottom drain.
Located at rear head.
LADDERS / WALKWAYS / SPILLDAMS
SPILLDAM:
One (1) Each non-insulated, stainless steel box style.
WALKWAY:
Non-skid tape from ladder to manhole.
LADDER:
Aluminum tubular ladder with West-Mark heavy duty slip resistant steps shall be provided at the rear of the unit. No grab rails installed (Available as option upon request).
FRAME CAP:
A carbon steel platform shall be installed on the chassis frame rails at rear if required for safe access to ladder.
BUMPER STEP:
A formed carbon steel step shall be affixed under the rear bumper. Step shall have a shear pin and pivot to help prevent damage if struck.
LIGHTS AND WIRING
LIGHTS/WIRING:
L.E.D. per D.O.T. specifications. Use trucks existing stop/tail/turn lights.
REFLECTORS:
To be mounted per D.O.T. specifications.
CONSPICUITY STRIPING:
To be installed at sides and rear per D.O.T. specifications.
WORKLIGHT(S):

PLUMBING
REAR OUTLET:
3" Stainless steel split pipe out rear head.
OUTLET PLUMBING:
Plumb from sump to a 3” check valve, butterfly valve with stainless steel disc and stem and lever lock handle.
Plumbing to end in 3" stainless steel male camlock adapter and cap with chain.
HYDRANT FILL:
A 2-1/2" hydrant fill with dual check valves shall be mounted through rear head near top at curbside of tank and plumbed down with elbow at bottom. Plumbing shall be T-304 stainless steel pipe. Fill shall be furnished with suitable brackets or reinforcing pads to alleviate vibration. One pet cock drain valve shall be located in the side of each check valve to allow complete drainage of trapped water in pipe.
HYDRANT FILL CONNECTION:
One (1) each 2-1/2" Bronze male NST fitting with cap and chain.
SUMP:
One (1) each 3” nipple to 3” 90o elbow out of bottom of tank.
TANK TO PUMP:
Plumb from elbow to a 3” butterfly shut-off valve. A potable water grade rubber hose shall be used in plumbing between valve and pump for flex.
DISCHARGE:
All piping to be of stainless steel and include food grade victaulic couplers as necessary One (1) 3" tee out top of pump to each side manifold with check valves Jeff Hurst 12719-0001

3 GAUGE:
One (1) each 0-100 PSI liquid filled pressure gauge located on water discharge tee DISCHARGE MANIFOLDS:
Two (2) each manifolds, one each side. Each manifold to include the following One (1) 2" stainless steel ball valve to 2" stainless steel camlock and cap with chain Four (4) 3/4" self-closing faucets
All piping to be of stainless steel.
MANIFOLD CONTAINMENT:
Each manifold to include a stainless steel cover with hinged portion for access to fittings HOSEREEL(S):
None. (Available as option upon request)
CABINETS:
One (1) Aluminum 30" W x 24" H x 24" D approx. with double doors and stainless steel hardware with lockable latch.
DOOR STAYS: Installed on all doors for holding doors in the open position while in use.
LOCATION: Cabinet located at road side of chassis frame for pump
PUMP:
One (1) Each 3" x 2" stainless steel pump.
WET KIT:
A complete hydraulic wet kit shall be installed on the chassis. Kit shall contain a "HOT SHIFT" PTO, hydraulic pump, hydraulic filter, relief valve, hydraulic HCU-35 reservoir, and all necessary hoses, wiring, and controls. PTO switch shall be located at pumping station. System to provide variable speed control to pump. 0 to full RPM..
Hydraulic reservoir to be filled to operating capacity with hydraulic oil.
FENDERS / BUMPERS / ETC.
BUMPER:
A carbon steel bumper shall be installed at the rear of the unit.
REAR FENDERS:
Aluminum contour, 1/2 round (approx.), ribs down.
Stainless steel bolt on fender brackets.
Mudflaps to be black rubber with West-Mark logo. Mudflap mounting to meet SAEJ682 standard.
A set of mudflaps shall be installed at the front of the drive tire(s) and shall be black rubber with West-Mark logo.
MISC. ITEMS
BACK-UP ALARM:
Electronic Back-up / motion alarm shall be an ECCO part #RMA 907E. The alarm shall activate when the transmission is shifted into reverse, or when rotation of the driveline is detected.
CAMERA SYSTEM:
Backup camera system shall be installed with a 7” inch monitor in clear view of the operator. Shall be Rear View Safety model RVS-770613-NM
RAM style gimbal style mount is preferred mounting to be determined at the pre-paint meeting.
HOSE ASSEMBLY:
One (1) Each 2-1/2" x 20' NSF (drinking water) lay flat hose assembly with 2-1/2" male and female NSF certified NST fittings.
TOOL BOXES:
One (1) Each aluminum single drop down door, 18"W x 18"H x 36"D approx. with stainless steel hardware with lockable latch.
LOCATION: Cabinet located at curbside of chassis frame.
TRANSPORT SECURITY SYSTEM:
Lugs for padlock/seal tab security system at all openings.

4 PAINT:

OPERATOR TRAINING GUIDE:
One (1) each training guide booklet, outlined specifically for equipment purchased. Booklet shall contain detailed operating instructions of all functions with photos.
MANUALS:
One (1) each operation and maintenance manual(s) in paper format and five (5) each operation and maintenance manual(s) on thumb drive (in PDF format) shall be supplied and shipped with unit; CALIBRATION:
Theoretical, in 1/4" increments, complete with charts.
