To the City Council:

Thank you for continuing not to entertain a divisive "ceasefire" resolution on the war between Israel and Hamas. As we have seen in other cities, these provide a platform for those who wish to promote not peace, but lies.

Please stay focused on the needs of Santa Rosa.

Sincerely,
Michael Harris

Dear City Council Members
Thank you for focusing on our city needs and not taking a position on foreign affairs matters.

The group of activists that will be in chambers tonight speaking on non-agenda item showed their true face by chanting “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” last Sunday in Santa Rosa downtown.

These are the same people that advocate for adoption of Ceasefire Resolutions - same people that convinced Santa Rosa City School Board to vote for Ceasefire resolution. Their real goal is COMPLETE DESTRUCTION of Israel and its people as we confirmed on Sunday.

Thank you for standing up against HATE and DIVISION in our Santa Rosa community.

Dear City Council Members
Thank you for taking a very clear position that you don't want to be involved in international matters.

This is for US State Department to address.

The resolutions on international conflicts just bring division and hate into city council chambers.

Thank you for being consistent and focusing on city matters.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Ceasefire Resolution
Date: Tuesday, April 9, 2024 4:52:32 PM
Please do not pass the ceasefire Resolution. As a Jew, I am concerned now about what this will do. It will only increase the hate towards Jews as we face everyday now in the Bay Area.

I am afraid to identify myself as a Jew because of the ugly looks I get and the fear that someone will attack me.

The pro Palestinian are angry with hate and ready to hit and destroy anything related to Jew and Israel.

Thank you,
Zipora

Dear Santa Rosa City Council:

Thank you for declining to bring any type of "ceasefire in Gaza" resolution into your agenda.

As a Santa Rosa resident, it is important to me that the City Council remain focused on things that can be directly affected.

Additionally, communities across the Bay Area are being divided over the appropriateness and language in these types of resolutions, to the point that there have been physical altercations at and outside of public meetings.

I have spoken personally with Jewish residents in the East Bay who are now afraid to attend public meetings
due to this situation. Understandable
when the crowd is hostile to even a Holocaust survivor.

Furthermore,
antisemitic incidents are increasing in Sonoma County. In some cases individual incidents have been resolved through education, though the many others that go unreported leave residents feeling vulnerable. It is clear we need additional education in identifying and responding to all discriminatory behaviors, including those against Jews.

I would be happy to discuss this in greater detail with any of the Council members.

In peace,
Danielle Feldman

Dear Santa Rosa City Council Members,
I am a resident of Santa Rosa.

Today, I am writing to thank you for not introducing a ceasefire resolution.

A ceasefire is by nature temporary and keeps the status quo. While the Hamas-ISIS terror group remains in control of Gaza, a ceasefire will only give them time to regroup and rearm. A lasting peace, on the other hand, starts with Hamas's elimination or unconditional surrender and the release of all Israeli hostages, including the young women who are being raped in captivity.

A ceasefire is also a wildly divisive issue and results in increased antisemitism and attacks on Jewish people and institutions wherever they are passed.

Thank you for rejecting tactics meant to divide our Santa Rosa community and for focusing on issues on which you have a real impact.

Thank you,
Tatyana Orozco

Thank you for not putting any ceasefire resolutions on your agenda. I watched couple of the meetings online in the past and saw how much of your time is waisted by the ceasefire activists promoting their political agenda and how much pressure they put on you.

Thank you
Anna
